An annual fundraiser to benefit Boy Scout Troop 713 in Wellington is scheduled for this weekend. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk to assistant scout master Gerald Gittinger:
Funds from the event will be used to provide a traditional trip for the kids. “We attended a 10-day camp near Osceloa,” said Gittinger, “It costs $300 a piece for the kids to go and that’s sometimes difficult for a few of them, so we help with this dinner each year.”
The whole hog and smoked turkey will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Wellington Fair Building in the downtown area. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.
