Wellington Scouts to Host Dinner

An annual fundraiser to benefit Boy Scout Troop 713 in Wellington is scheduled for this weekend.  Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott talk to assistant scout master Gerald Gittinger:

Funds from the event will be used to provide a traditional trip for the kids.  “We attended a 10-day camp near Osceloa,” said Gittinger, “It costs $300 a piece for the kids to go and that’s sometimes difficult for a few of them, so we help with this dinner each year.”

The whole hog and smoked turkey will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Wellington Fair Building in the downtown area. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children.
