Update (7:45) - The Highway Patrol has confirmed that the scene is cleared and traffic is now unobstructed.

Authorities have confirmed that the westbound lanes of Highway 36 in Livingston County are shut down.  A vehicle fire has caused traffic to stop near the Utica exit.

A KMZU listener reports traffic on Westbound 36 is backed up for almost a mile.  That portion of highway is located west of Chillicothe.

Emergency crews are responding and listeners are encouraged to avoid the area.
