Whitworth Murder Suspect in Court
One of two men charged in the murder of a Warrensburg business owner will appear in court Tuesday afternoon for a case review. Ziyad Tariq Abid, 23, is accused of paying 27-year-old Reginald Singletary to carry out the September 2012 shooting of 25-year-old William Whitworth. Singletary reportedly told police he killed Whitworth in exchange for money from Abid. Both men are charged with murder and armed criminal action. Singletary is scheduled for a jury trial this September. Abid will go before Johnson County Judge R. Michael Wagner Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
