Widespread Power Outage Likely Caused by Crash

A major power outage in the Warrensburg area Monday night is believed to have been caused by a motor vehicle accident.  Kansas City Power and Light reported the outage just prior to 8:00 p.m.  An unidentified teenager reportedly crashed into a power pole near the intersection of Route DD and Ridgeview Avenue, according to a KMZU listener.  The Missouri State Highway Patrol has not posted any information confirming the report.
