A Blue Springs woman was injured in a one-vehicle crash in Jackson County early Saturday morning and alcohol may have been a factor.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Kelly Weddle, 25, was driving eastbound on I-70, west of Lefholz, when the vehicle ran off the highway and into the median. Weddle overcorrected sending the car back onto the roadway where it overturned onto its right side.

Weddle suffered minor injuries but refused treatment. Authorities then charged Weddle with alleged DWI and failure to maintain a single lane. She was booked at Grain Valley then released pending a court date.

The crash occurred around 2:15 a.m. Saturday.
