Woman jailed in Cooper County after leaving crash scene

COOPER COUNTY, Mo. — An arrest in Cooper County by Highway Patrol early Tuesday morning led to the incarceration of a Kansas City woman.

One felony was listed among informal charges against Lauren Steward, 35. She is accused of leaving the scene of an accident, driving while intoxicated, as well as possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Steward was taken to Cooper County Jail in lieu of bond.
