Woman Pleads Guilty, Awaiting Separate Trial

A Sedalia woman pleaded guilty on November 5th to the charge of possession of a prohibited item at a county jail. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail.

Lydia Iliff, 33, used a cell phone that was smuggled to her, to contact two Marshall Residents in October of 2012.  Iliff was incarcerated awaiting trial in the death of her 18-month old daughter back in August of 2012.

Iliff was scheduled to go to trial Tuesday on murder and child abuse charges. All online court records related to that case has been removed for confidentiality reasons.
