Woman Shot in Legs During Home Invasion

Moberly police responded to a shooting at a home in the 800 block of West Coates Street early Wednesday morning.  Authorities said two unidentified subjects forced their way into the residence at about 12:40 a.m. and shot a 28-year-old female in the legs.  The individuals then fled the scene northbound on Dorser Street.  The victim was transported to University Hospital in Columbia with non-life threatening injuries.  Police also said a 30-year-old female and three-year-old child were also present during the home invasion and both were not harmed.  Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Moberly Police Department at (660) 263-0346 or the Crime Tips Hotline at (660) 269-8477.
