A Chillicothe man will be back in court on Thursday. Mark Woodworth has been convicted of killing his neighbor, Cathy Robertson, on the night of November 13th, 1990. Boone County Circuit Judge Gary Oxenhandler was appointed as a special master in the case earlier this year. Oxenhandler called for Woodworth’s conviction to be set aside stating that “there was nothing fundamentally fair about the investigation of the Robertson crimes”. The highest Missouri court will now hear arguments in the appeal of the murder conviction. The hearing will get underway at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. KMZU will bring updates throughout those proceedings.
