A pair of unrelated wrecks occurred Sunday in Boone County. According to the Highway Patrol the first incident took place at about 7:30 a.m. on Route V at the south junction with Route CC when Ella Plank of Clark Missouri attempted to pass a bicyclist. The bike made a left turn in front of her vehicle and they collided. Greg Ray, 49, of Centralia was thrown from his bike and suffered minor injuries.
The second crash happened just prior to 11 a.m. on eastbound I-70 at the Highway 40 exit. The Highway Patrol reports a vehicle driven by John Rorah, 55, of Boonville was stopped waiting on traffic when he was hit from behind by Richard Thomas, 71, from Columbia. Thomas suffered minor injuries. Those who were injured in both wrecks were taken to Boone Regional Hospital.
