Young Boy Hit by Vehicle
A six year old boy was hit by a vehicle in Lexington Monday afternoon near the intersection of 17th and Taylor Street. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to Police Chief Don Rector:

“The little boy was walking on the sidewalk when he crossed the street into the path of a moving vehicle,” said Rector,” He was struck and the Lexington ambulance was called to the scene along with the Highway Patrol, Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department and the Lexington police department. The six year old was flown from Lafayette Regional Hospital. Right now, his condition is unknown.”
According to Rector, the investigation into the accident is on-going. No charges have been filed at this time.
