According to Brown, crop producers are expected to see the greatest growth this year, however

FAPRI does expect a shift in corn acreage this growing season. Brown says many answers will hinge on the US Department of Agricultures Planting Intentions report at the end of this month which will impact what direction prices move.
Brown also points out the FAPRI report came together prior to the earthquake in Japan. The disaster is also expected to impact on the ag prices around the globe though it’s a guess if that impact will be short or long term.
