COLUMBIA, Mo. — Two men are in custody after an armed home invasion in Boone County Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were sent to the 6200 block of E. Circle Drive N. to reports that two men forced entry to a residence. The victims reported the men were armed.
Deputies said the four victims in the home were threatened by the men before they fled the scene. No one was injured during the incident.
The Columbia Police Department was able to later identify the suspect vehicle and take two suspects into custody, identified as Robert Quay Worthington III and Michael Joseph Chaney, both of Columbia.
Worthington faces charges of 1st degree burglary, 1st degree attempted robbery, four counts of 3rd degree assault, and an outstanding warrant for both 3rd degree domestic assault and 2nd degree property damage. Bond for Worthington was set at $80,000.
Chaney faces similar charges of 1st degree burglary, 1st degree attempted robbery, and four counts of 3rd degree assault. Bond was set at $77,000.
