MONITEAU COUNTY, Mo.- As dense travel continues across Missouri, the Missouri Highway Patrol was on scene to investigate a two-vehicle injury accident in Moniteau County this morning.

According to the filed accident report, at approximately 7:21 a.m., Trenton Mclellan, 19, of Jefferson City, Mo., was southbound on MO-87 at Red Bud Road when he crossed the center line and struck a vehicle driven by Angela Holsman, 33, of California, Mo., head on.

Both Mclellan and Holsman suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision and neither were wearing a safety device. The drivers were transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
