RICHMOND, Mo.- The Ray County Prosecuting Attorney filed charges against a Richmond, Mo., man yesterday, October 1, 2017, on allegations of rape.
Following investigation, Dylan Hendricks, 20, was charged with felony second-degree rape. On September 23, 2017, a deputy with the Ray County Sheriff’s Department responded to the report of rape at Lafayette County Regional Health Center in Lexington, Mo., that had occurred a few hours prior.
According to the probable statement, the victim came in contact with two male subjects at Snappy’s around 2:00 a.m., while refilling a vehicle. The male subjects allegedly created “small talk” and the victim ultimately left the gas station to follow the two male subjects in a dark-colored truck to the commuter parking lot.
The probable cause statement also indicates the conversation led the victim to get in the back seat of the truck to go for a ride with the two male subjects. The victim reported three long guns located behind the driver of the truck. While riding the two males were allegedly smoking marijuana and laughing at nervous notions made by the victim.
Hendricks, who initiated contact with the victim at Snappy’s, is being accused of touching the victim inappropriately and engaging in sexual intercourse without consent after escorting the victim out of the truck.
Yesterday, October 1, 2017, investigators responded to the Ray County Sheriff’s Office to conduct an interview on Hendricks, who had been picked up on a stop and hold order. Hendricks claims he had nothing to do with the accusations and it was consensual.
Hendricks remains in custody at the Ray County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond. Future court dates are currently pending.
