HIGGINSVILLE, Mo. — Only four items of business are on Monday’s meeting agenda for the Higginsville Board of Alderpersons.

A tentative agenda begins with a recognition of years of service award for a city employee, Sandra Stephens, who has served as  a building official for five years.

Three bills will be considered. The first would authorize the city administrator to expand the total purchase order for the city’s Fourth of July fireworks to $7,000, while the second bill would authorize the Higginsville Lions Club to organize and design this year’s fireworks display.

The final item of business would add chapter 250 to the Higginsville Code of Ordinances, pertaining to medical marijuana regulations and standards for production, testing and distribution.

A closed session will then be called for city officials and board members.

The Higginsville Board of Alderpersons will gather in City Hall Auditorium at 6:00 p.m. Monday.
