(SEDALIA, Mo.) – According to a press release from the Missouri State Fair, Hayden Duncan, son of Kevin and Diana Duncan, is the exhibitor of the 2016 Grand Champion Pen of Chickens. Hayden is from Centertown, Missouri and is a member of the Englewood 4-H Club. Hayden’s prize-winning Cornish Cross Pen of Chickens weighed an average of 6.5 pounds.

The Reserve Grand Champion Pen of Chickens honor went to Vivian Buie of Marshall. She is the daughter of Dan and Rebecca Buie and is member of the Saline County Junior Leaders 4-H Club. Vivian’s Cornish Cross Pen of Chickens weighed an average of 6.3 pounds.

On August 20th, both Hayden and Vivian will sell their Pens of Chickens in two of 12 lots offered in the Missouri State Fair Sale of Champions. Proceeds from that annual sale benefit both the winning exhibitors and the Missouri State Fair Foundation Youth in Agriculture Scholarship Program.
