The University of Central Missouri is still accepting vendors for the “Get the Red Out” celebration. Click to hear KMZU’s Bob Allen talk with UCM’s Assistant Director of Public Relations for Media Relations Jeff Murphy:

Jeff Murphy

Murphy says the annual event is a great way to bring the school and the community together for a good time. Starting at 4:00 p.m. on September 1st, vendors and organizations will be on hand for a block party on South Holden St., just west of the student union. According to Murphy, area businesses and non-profits are scheduled to be in attendance to pass out information, sell food, and provide entertainment for the crowds until 6:30. The deadline to register for booth space is Friday, August 26th, at 5:00 p.m.

Following the fair, the UCM Mules Football team will take on the Missouri Southern State University Lions in Vernon Kennedy Stadium at 7:00.

More information about the festival can be found on the University’s website,
