CARROLLTON, MO  A Quail clinic where you can learn how to boost bobwhite quail on your property and survey your quail numbers will take place at a farm northwest of Bogard Saturday,  October 19.

To start the clinic there will be a covey count at 6:45 a.m. put on by the Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and Quail Forever. Landowners who wish to increase bobwhite quail on their property can attend the Goetting farm demonstration.

People are asked to arrive 15 minutes early.

A sausage, biscuit, and gravy breakfast will then be served with a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to noon. Biologist will discuss optimum timing for Conservation Reserve Program practices, food plots, controlling invasive species, and management techniques for increasing quail.

People who have received grants under the federal Conservation Reserve Program for pollinator or wildlife habitat enhancement will benefit from this workshop.
