At 3 p.m., Sunday, February 19, the 5-member band, 3 TRAILS WEST, will take the stage at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center in Chillicothe. This award-winning band is part of the Chillicothe Area Arts Council’s 2011-12 arts season.
3 TRAILS WEST received the Western Music Association’s (WMA) 2011 Crescendo Award Sand their debut CD was nominated in 2011 for the WMA’s Traditional Western Album award in the Group or Duo category.
The show will feature music of the cowboy tradition along with great songs from the silver screen Westerns with some country swing thrown in. Tickets are $7 for students and $15 for adults and may be purchased at the door. Season ticket holders will be admitted with a season ticket. The box office opens at 2 p.m., and the auditorium seating begins at 2:30 p.m. The facility is handicap accessible with special seating available for those in wheelchairs. The program is sponsored by the Chillicothe Area Arts Council and the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
