A University of Missouri Extension program is helping inmates and their children bond while the parent is incarcerated.  Life Mentoring Educator Rick Smith says 4-H has served as a link between individuals in the Chillicothe Correctional Center and their families since August of 2009.
According to Smith, the entire family is a part of the process but at least one child in the family should fall within age of 8 to 17 to qualify for the 4-H program.
