The Lafayette County 4-h Achievement Day will be held at the Lafayette County C-1 Middle School in Higginsville on June 25 beginning at 1:00 p.m. according to Janet Daubendiek, Fairboard Chairman of the Achievement Day. Events will include judging contests, public speaking, demonstrations, fashion revue, and the queen contest. Contestants in the queen contest include Mary Abare, daughter of John and Lisa Abare of Higginsville, and a member of Odessa Young Riders; Cathy Crowley, daughter of Tom and Elizabeth Crowley of Odessa, also a member of Odessa Young Riders; and Rebecca McIntyre, daughter of Cinda and Charles Chapman of Independence, and  member of Napoleon Cloverleaf 4-H Club. University of Missouri Extension Programs are open to all.
