The 43rd annual Mark Twain Old Thresher Reunion is scheduled to begin this week in Paris, Missouri.  Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross talk to association president Angela Fields:

Angela Fields

“This is a group of people who are interested in keeping the old time tractors, the horse drawn equipment, and the thrashers alive,”said Fields,”In addition to those activities, we will have a wonderful food booth available with barbecue pork steak, hamburgers, pork burgers, hotdogs, walking tacos, tators, and onions.”

The event begins Thursday evening with a fish fry at 5:30 and music from Johnny Ragsdale and Friends.  Friday will feature a farm and professional draft horse pull at 6:00 p.m. followed by Ben VanDyke and the Rumble Strip Band. Highlights on Saturday include breakfast from 7:00 to 9:00, a parade at 10:00 a.m., an antique car and truck show, and a tractor pull.  The purchase of a five dollar ticket will give those attending access to each day’s event.
