JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – A motorcycle rider was seriously injured Saturday, when he crashed in Jefferson City.

The Police Department is reporting a crash around 3:40 p.m. on westbound 50 Highway at the exit from 54 Highway. The motorcycle operated by Darryl Sinden, 60, went out of control as he merged with traffic and skidded across all four westbound lanes.

The bike and rider came to rest against the center concrete barrier. Sinden was transported to University Hospital.
