SEDALIA Mo. – Pettis County health officials are reporting 6 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since Friday. The coronavirus is being contracted from a “variety of places,” and is not limited only to family transmission, according to the Pettis County Health Department. So far, there have been 118 documented cases.

In Lafayette County, two more cases of COVID-19 were announced on Monday by its county health department. The number of cases in Lafayette now stands at 90 — 10 of those are active cases. Health officials advise the public to wear masks and social distance to slow the spread of the virus.

Saline County health department officials announced on Monday they had no new cases since Friday.

Transmission numbers in Ray County have remained at 23 cases for the past two weeks, according to Ray County Health Department officials.
