SALINE COUNTY, Mo. — Three people are in custody after Missouri State Highway Patrol found 88 pounds of methamphetamine, cash and a firearm on April 5. Formal charges were filed in Saline County against Jose Renteria Rojas, 32, of Evanston, Ill.; Gustavo Renteria Rojas, 27, Chicago, Ill. and Juan Gomez Padilla, 29, Evanston. All three are charged with first-degree drug trafficking over the statutory amount, an A felony. A patrol post says around $5,000 and a gun was also discovered when they pulled the vehicle over at Mile Marker 79 on I-70. Initial arraignment for all three suspects is scheduled for 11 a.m. April 7. They are currently being held without bond in the Saline County Jail.
