CARROLLTON, Mo. — A number of items are on the agenda for Monday evening’s meeting of the Carrollton City Council.
New business will include an appearance from Rep. Peggy McGaugh (R-Carrollton) and comments and questions from Kathy Lock, Carroll County YMCA Executive Director, regarding the future of the Carrollton Aquatic Center.
At a meeting in June, council members were informed the current city pool has a costly leak, resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars in maintenance. A number of options have been considered, including the construction of a new aquatic center.
The Council will then consider a bill which would call a special election on a general sales tax question.
Also in new business, an ordinance which would authorize waterworks system revenue bonds for the design phase of a new park will be brought forward.
Official reports will be heard from the wastewater and street supervisors, before comments from the mayor and council members are made.
A closed session will then be called. The Carrollton City Council will meet Monday at 6:00 p.m. at Carrollton City Hall.
