CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo., – Kevin Rackers, 50, of New Bloomfield, was pronounced dead at the scene after a one vehicle crash in Callaway County Saturday, September 19, 2015, at 9:15 p.m. The two passengers were reportedly in serious condition.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Rackers was allegedly driving his Jeep Wrangler around private property when the Jeep traveled up a steep embankment, struck a tree, overturned and come to a rest on its side in a creek.

The Boone County medical examiner pronounced Rackers dead at the scene. Robert Odneal, 45, of Jefferson City and Ashtin Withers, 21, of New Bloomfield were transported by private vehicle to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious injuries.

None of the individuals were reportedly wearing a safety device.
