PETTIS COUNTY, Mo. – A mechanical problem is being blamed for a three vehicle crash in Pettis County Friday afternoon.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says Ronald Morrison, 47, of Sedalia was pulling a trailer eastbound on 50 Highway at Rissler Road, when he experienced a mechanical failure. The vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and was struck by Danielle Mefford, 24, of Sedalia. A third vehicle driven by Summer Myers, 18, of Lake Ozark, ran into the rear of Mefford’s vehicle.
Mefford was sent to University Hospital with serious injuries. Myers was being treated at Bothwell Regional Hospital for moderate injuries and Morrison refused treatment for minor injuries.
