RAY COUNTY, Mo. – The Ray County Prosecuting Attorney has filed a motion to appoint a special prosecutor in the Melissa Holloway child abuse case.
The motion was filed Tuesday by Camille Alexandra Johnston, but a cause for the request has not been disclosed. Holloway is charged with twenty two counts of abuse of neglect of a child, and one court each of hindering prosecution of a felony and tampering with a witness in a felony prosecution. The judge is expected to make an immediate decision on the motion.
The next hearing for Holloway is a criminal setting on September 5, 2018.
