CARROLL COUNTY, Mo.- Two out-of-state residents reported injuries after their semi-truck had flipped over on US 24 Highway in Carroll County early this morning.

Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department and EMS responded to US 24 Highway, just east of CR 371, at approximately 12:10 a.m. Further investigation determined that Dayton, Oh., resident Jose Hernandez, 80, was traveling westbound when the semi traveled off the right side of the roadway resulting in Hernandez to overcorrect and ultimately flip the truck.

A passenger in the vehicle who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, Deborah Hernandez, 62, also from Dayton, Oh., had to be extricated from the semi and was taken to Truman Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Jose Hernandez reported only minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
