As Baby Boomers reach retirement age, AARP is trying to help retirees understand Social Security. Research shows over one-fourth of retired residents in Missouri rely exclusively on these benefits. According to Missouri AARP Director Craig Eichelman, retirement can be a difficult transition.
To that end, the organization has developed an online benefits calculator to provide members with instant feedback on their status and to aid in planning for the future.
Eichelman says the calculator is a part of AARP’s 10-step program, “Ready for Retirement”. You can find the calculator on AARP’s website, www.aarp.org
