According to Jackson County records, on July 13, 2015, at approximately 11:00 p.m., a woman contacted the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reporting her daughter had been kidnapped. Lone Jack police requested the help of the sheriff’s office in the investigation.
The woman claimed she had met with the two suspects at a local business. She said one of the suspects was the girl’s father, and they had arranged to meet so he could see her. The suspects reportedly took the girl and left the scene.
The victim was found within hours safe and unharmed. She has been returned home to her mother.
A 22-year-old male from Oak Grove and 20-year-old female from Blue Springs have been taken into custody and are held at the Jackson County Department of Corrections pending formal charges.
Names of the victim and suspects are not disclosed at this time.
