BATES COUNTY, Mo. — An accident in Bates County Tuesday afternoon left one driver injured.

At 2:24 p.m. on Tuesday, 29-year-old Caitlin J. Miller, of Lees Summit, was headed northbound on I-49 when her vehicle ran off of the left side of the roadway and into the median.

Her vehicle then went airborne, struck the roadway, and ran off of the roadway again where Miller’s vehicle finally came to a rest in a river.

Miller was moderately injured as a result of the accident and was transported to Bates County Memorial Hospital by Bates County EMS.
