DAVIESS COUNTY, Mo. — A man from Daviess County already facing child molestation allegations dating back to May is now facing child pornography charges.

A probable cause statement states Allen David Coates, 68 was charged in July with one count of attempted child molestation in the first degree and has a hearing for that allegation set for January 16.

Search warrants were later obtained and officers seized a computer owned by Coates that allegedly contained child pornography. The pornography included five still images and one motion picture, according to the probable cause statement.

A warrant for Coates’s arrest was issued with bond set at $75,000 cash only.

Court dates on the new charge had not been set at the time of publication.
