PETTIS COUNTY, MO – Area first responders have completed a simulated exercise in cooperation with area schools to further prepare for potential shooting situations.

According to Ray County Sheriff’s Office, an annual active shooter simulation was conducted with the Tactical Team in cooperation with Lawson School District, Lawson Police, and Lawson Fire and Rescue. The exercise was to acquire insight to assist with the formation of a plan of action. The Sheriff’s Department says, an active shooting situation is an ever-changing scenario, and local law enforcement agencies continue to expand plans for action.
