A Knob Noster man was arrested after being involved in a one vehicle accident Sunday night in Johnson County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Mark Smith, 46, was driving eastbound in the Northeast Division west of Mo-13 bypass when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road and into a creek.

Upon investigation, it was determined Smith was allegedly intoxicated.  Smith was taken into custody and charged with DWI, failure to drive on right half of roadway, and no valid operator’s license.

Smith was then released to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment of serious injuries.
