Classification of vehicles and how to govern them was the main topic of discussion at the Concordia Board of Aldermen meeting on Monday night. Click to hear KMZU’s Brad Hartman talk with City Administrator Dale Klussman:
“Our ordinances had to be updated when it came to these types of vehicles,” Klussman said. “It creates exceptions where by those vehicles can be operated. Everyone of them can be operated under a city exception. Our old exceptions were inadequate. We have now created four classes for off-road vehicles and require residents to get a permit if they want to operate within the city limits. The vehicle classifications are ATVs, UTVs, ROVs, and LSVs.”
In other board news, Michael Brown was appointed as acting president of the Board of Aldermen.
