The Concordia Board of Aldermen will consider a request from the Parks Board at Tuesday’s meeting. Click to hear KMZU’s Sarah Scott speak with City Administrator Dale Klussman:
The Lions Club has asked them to consider renovations to the town’s Sister Liberty Statue. That statue is one of 200 done as a former Boy Scout program. Klussman said Concordia’s needs some work. The Lions Club has contacted a man in Slater capable of making the repairs, but a cost estimate has not yet been released.
Discussion regarding the Trail of Memories is also on the agenda. Work started on the project last week. The Board has to give their approval of a change in work. Klussman explained that they are required to have someone observe the project. The cost from the engineering company was too high, so they have found a local person.
The Board is also scheduled to discuss a request for dust control on Bonn Road and additional items to purchase for a Jetter Truck.
That meeting gets underway at 7:00 in the Concordia Community Building.
