The Allied Arts Council, based out of St. Joseph, is looking for an intern for the summer of 2015. The Arts Council is seeking an energetic person with a flexible schedule, who is willing to put in a 14 hour work week and more hours may become available towards the end of summer. The council is seeking someone who is available from June 2nd through August 24th. They will accept any level of college student as long as they possess quality communication skills.
The majors that would fit best for this internship would include, Communications, Mass Communications, Public Relations and/or Marketing. Although, the council is open to accepting any majors, again, as long as they have excellent communication skills.
The internship duties would include working closely with the Marketing Coordinator and a marketing committee, assist with campaigning, event planning and coordination.
Some things that is required of an acceptable intern would be knowledge of Adobe Creative Studio and Microsoft Office, familiarity with Microsoft Windows based computer-operating environment, the ability to write a press release and to possess feature writing skills, the ability to work simultaneously on multiple projects is important as well as to work on deadlines while maintaining originality. Good interpersonal skills and communication skills are also a must. Access to a vehicle and to provide your own transportation is also important.
