UPDATE: (01/11/19, 12:27 a.m.) – The Missouri Highway Patrol has released the name of the Ray County ambulance driver injured Thursday during a crash in Clay County. The online crash report says  Tiffany Abbott, 30, of Richmond received minor injuries when a vehicle driven by John Ward, 61, of Kansas City, crossed the center line and struck the side of her ambulance. The crash occurred just before 4:00 p.m. Thursday on eastbound Highway 210, West of Route N. Abbott was transported to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment. The other driver refused treatment for minor injuries.

CLAY COUNTY, MO – A crash Thursday afternoon involved an ambulance as well as other vehicles.

Traffic on 210 Highway was closed eastbound near Richmond at Route N in Clay County. The vehicle and ambulance collided traveling in opposite directions.

Both drivers were hospitalized. An investigation by Highway patrol has not yet concluded.
