The Zion Lutheran Church in Lone Elm will host their 30th annual dinner and country store this evening. Click to hear KMZU’s Kristie Cross speak with committee member Suzanne Lenz:
A full, wide-variety menu will be served to those attending. “We will have pulled pork and beef,” said Lenz, “There will also be fresh, homemade salads, baked beans, homemade desserts, and the highlight is usually the pies including everything from chocolate cream, blackberry, and pecan. My favorite is the apple pie and, of course, there’s usually gooseberry and classic apple.”
The country store will be stocked with fresh vegetables and handmade items.
All proceeds will be used for tuckpointing the church exterior.
Tonight’s event is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the church which is located 8 miles south of I-70 on Highway B.
