BATES COUNTY, Mo. — An Appleton City driver is in critical condition following a crash in Bates County Monday night.

According to a crash report compiled by the Missouri Highway Patrol, troopers responded to the accident around 9:00 p.m. Monday on Route P, just north of Northwest 700 Road in Bates County.

A northbound vehicle operated by Seth Greufe, 26, ran off the right side of the roadway, causing Greufe to over correct, resulting in the vehicle returning to the roadway before exiting the left side.

The vehicle then rolled over, ejecting the driver in the process.

Greufe, who according to the report, was not wearing a seat belt, and suffered serious injuries.

He was flown by air ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center to receive care.
