An Odessa resident was sentenced seven years in the Missouri Department of corrections for Driving While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of an Accident in January. A Lafayette County judge ordered Michael Morris, 49, to serve a total of seven years in the Department of Corrections, but the execution of that sentence was suspended in favor of 120 days of shock incarceration. Morris will now be in a Lafayette County courtroom Monday morning for a case review at 9 a.m. He is also facing felony charges of 2nd degree murder, elder abuse, and domestic assault in a separate case.
