CARROLLTON, Mo.- Parents of the Carrollton R-7 School District received an email this afternoon about a threat that was made against the school district.

According to the email, it was reported that a high school student made a comment threatening the school today. The administration immediately searched the student’s belongings and questioned the student.

The email also indicates after questioning the student, it was determined that there was no evidence the student had any weapons. Carrollton R-7 says the comment is being taken seriously by the administration and addressed according to the student handbook.

The school district also said, “Student safety is a top priority.  In an effort to provide both accurate and timely information, the administration wants everyone to be aware of the situation that has occurred and that steps are being taken to assure the safety of our students and staff.”
