JEFFERSON CITY, MO – A Kansas City woman is one of six persons indicted for allegations of defrauding Missouri’s Medicaid program.

Angel Zahnter is charged with committing Medicaid fraud and receiving stolen property. According to a news release from the Missouri Attorney General’s office, Zahnter caused false claims to be submitted to the program while she did not provide the commensurate in-home service. The indictment indicates Zahnter defrauded the program in excess of $4,000.

Five other Missouri defendants are also listed in the indictment from St. Louis and Pemiscot Counties.
