Chiefs’ fans clamor to ticket sellers this weekend in last minute attempts to garner coveted tickets to the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium but they should do so carefully.
In a press release, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt reminds fans that others might take advantage of ticket desperation to turn a quick buck. Schmitt says to avoid a financial and emotional loss, only verified retailers should be considered. He adds, a purchaser should always check the authenticity of tickets. Fans should also be cautious of incentives offered to buy tickets at a lower price and other traditional indicators of scamming. Reports of counterfeiting and scamming can be made by calling the Consumer Protection Hotline (800)392-8222 or by visiting ago.mo.gov.
