Attorney General Chris Koster will provide an update Tuesday afternoon regarding what is being referred to as “significant developments” in the state’s criminal case against former Mamtek U.S. CEO Bruce Cole.   The businessman was set to develop an artificial sweetener factory in Moberly. That project fell through when Mamtek failed to make a payment on bonds issued by the city to fund the development.

Cole is accused of misleading city leaders and using funds for the project for personal use including a large mortgage payment on a Beverly Hills Home.

This afternoon’s press conference is schedule for 3:30 p.m. at Central Missouri Aviation at Columbia Regional Airport.
