HARRISON COUNTY, Mo. — A Gilman City resident was injured after an ATV overturned while attempting to climb a steep hill.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened on private property about a half mile east of Melbourne at around 11:00 p.m. Sunday.
An all-terrain vehicle operated by Bradley L. Burke, 34, of Gilman City, was traversing a steep hill on the property when it rolled backwards and overturned.
Two of the vehicle’s occupants were injured, Trenton resident Christa J. Tate, 25, received minor injuries while Earl D. Johnson, 56, also of Gilman City, suffered serious injuries.
Johnson was taken to Harrison County Community Hospital to be treated, while Tate was transported to Wright Memorial Hospital to receive treatment.
