AUDRAIN COUNTY, Mo. — Missouri State Auditor Nicole Galloway released an audit of Audrain County in central Missouri.

Galloway’s review found taxpayer dollars used effectively and appropriately.

The report received an overall rating of “good”.

The audit noted several areas of improvement and recommended changes to the way certain payments to the county collector are reported for tax purposes.

One of the areas of improvement noted included finding to ensure financial oversight of specific funds within the sheriff’s and prosecuting attorney’s offices.
